This 200 hour Therapeutic Yoga & Ayurveda Teacher Training (TYATT) program will change your life. Not only will you greatly develop your personal practice, you will receive hands on training on how to share yoga and with others, and learn how to heal yourself with Ayurveda, the world most ancient medical system. This unique program is led by renowned Canadian yoga teacher and ayurvedic practitioner Yasmin F. Gow and includes a complete examination of yoga as well as an extensive study of ayurveda and nutrition. Students will also benefit from the teachings of other experts in the field of ayurveda, anatomy, philosophy and yoga.
TYATT is a new program designed for a select group of experienced yoga students, who curious about ayurveda and have a profound interest in the science and philosophy of yoga and healing. It encourages self-evolution through advanced yoga practice and trains students how to effectively teach in a way that is thoughtful, concise, professional and grounded.
Therapeutic Yoga & Ayurveda Teacher Training – Background
Yasmin F. Gow has been teaching yoga for over 15 years and has been leading yoga teacher training programs since 2007. As her experience in her ayurvedic clinic deepened, she began including more and more teaching of ayurveda in her basic 300-hour Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Advanced Student Teacher Apprenticeship Program (ASTAP). This training is the culmination of Yasmin’s years of practice and professional experience and is a project she is truly passionate about. Program participants can expect to receive a complete immersion into yoga and ayurveda in a way that will enhance life both for the individual and for their future students.
Therapeutic Yoga & Ayurveda Teacher Training Requirements:
- A profound interest in yoga
- Two years’ experience in regular yoga practice
- 15 hours of prior workshops with Yasmin or another senior teacher
- Application form
- Understanding the B.A.S.I.C.S. of Yoga;
- Developing and maintaining a self-nourishing, therapeutic personal practice;
- Examining and understanding therapeutic properties of 60+ hatha yoga postures;
- Yoga + Ayurveda Healing Parts I, II, III, IV.
- Understanding the logic of sequencing and safe yoga adjustments;
- Restorative Yoga & learning the proper usage of props ;
- Spinal care & injury prevention;
- Human anatomy & physiology;
- Meditation and observation of the senses;
- Pranayama breath work (8 healing practices);
- Nadis (energy channels) & Chakra system;
- Yoga Nidra (deep rest);

My name is Yasmin Fudakowska-Gow and I am a professional wellbeing coach, speaker and writer. I am an accredited naturopathic doctor specializing in Ayurveda and have taught yoga around the world for over 15 years. In 2010, I completed 108 days of 108 sun salutations and then became the first woman to break the Guinness World Record for the longest yoga marathon lasting 32 hours. This initiative made headlines worldwide and raised more than $15,000 for charity.
I am the producer of several top selling yoga videos, audio recordings and the author of Introduction to Ashtanga Yoga. I’ve toured Canada as a speaker with environmental activist David Suzuki, trained professional athletes and run two successful yoga studios. I travel a lot for work and pleasure, but Panama City, Panama and Montreal, Quebec are my two home bases. In Old Montreal, I have a beautiful 2,o00 sq. ft multi-disciplinary studio called Loft 108, where we host regular workshops, trainings and other special events.
